Kevin de Bruyne has spoken out on Erling Haaland as Manchester City prepare for Premier League return after EFL Cup win over Liverpool
Since joining City back in summer transfer window, Haaland has been breaking records in Premier League.
The youngster has scored 24 goals and provided 3 assists overall in 19 appearances for City so far this season.
Haaland had a break during the World Cup as Norway didn’t qualify for the tournament, and is ready to make his league return after scoring a goal in City’s 3-2 victory over Liverpool in EFL Cup round of 16.
“Erling Haaland is so obsessed with goals he can maybe go beyond that [300/400 goals]. He already has about 200 goals, so he can probably go to 600, 700 or 800 if he stays fit and does the things that he does…,” said De Bruyne via Joe Bray.
“He’s a normal footballer like everybody else and doesn’t take himself too seriously… He’s still a young boy enjoying life and takes football very seriously. He loves scoring, so I think that’s the most unique thing he has,” he added.
