Kevin De Bruyne has spoken out on Erling Haaland following his Premier League debut on Sunday, August 7 when Manchester City faced West Ham.
City celebrated a 2-0 victory over the Hammers in their first league game of the 2022/2023 season.
Both goals were scored by Haaland, who made his Premier League debut for Pep Guardiola’s side.
“He’s there to score goals and help the team,” De Bruyne said on Haaland via Sky Sports.
“I’m not putting too much pressure on him. I know there’s a lot of hype around him and to start this way is good for him.”
De Bruyne provided the assist for Haaland’s second goal as the first one was scored from a penalty spot.
