Kasper Schmeichel has taken to Twitter to send a long message following his departure from Leicester City after eleven years.
Schmeichel has left Leicester to join Nice during this summer transfer window. The goalkeeper has been with the Foxes since 2011.
The 35-year-old made overall 478 appearances for Leicester in which he kept 147 clean sheets.
“After 11 incredible seasons, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave Leicester. It’s been more than just a club to me, it’s been a place where I’ve made lifelong friends and memories – it has been my home. I wanted to share some of my favourite memories with you all,” Schmeichel wrote on Twitter.
He went on to share his memories with Leicester and at the end he added.
“11 seasons… made so special by the people behind the scenes, those on the pitch alongside me and by the fans. Your support has been amazing and I’m very grateful to each and everyone of you. Thank you and I will see you all soon. Kasper.”
