Liverpool will face Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup fourth round after they knocked out Wolves in the third round.
Liverpool will face Brighton & Hove Albion in the fourth round of the FA Cup and Jurgen Klopp had some comments about the fixture after the Wolves win.
The Reds reached the next stage of the FA Cup following a tight 1-0 win over Wolves at the Molineux Stadium on Tuesday night. The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw at Anfield last week.
Elliot scored early in the game but both teams couldn’t halter the game from ending that way and Liverpool proceeded with a narrow win.
Now the Reds will continue their FA Cup journey when they face Brighton away from home later this month. This tie is a difficult game for Liverpool, given how the Seagulls dismantled them 3-0 last weekend in the Premier League.
Speaking about facing Brighton again, Klopp said: “No problem. We come to Wolves again pretty quickly as well. That’s football, no problem. We wanted to go to the next round and we knew already Brighton were the opponent, so no problem.”
On whether he’s pleased to face Brighton again, the Liverpool boss said: “I don’t think my job is now to have a big mouth and say, ‘Let’s see when we come again.’ It’s not that. I think the idea is when we go there in one-and-a-half weeks is that we try to play better than last time.”
