Jurgen Klopp has been asked about Liverpool’s January transfer window plans following the conclusion of the first-half of the 2022/2023 season.
The Reds ended the first half of the 2022/2023 season with a 3-1 win over Southampton on Saturday. Roberto Firmino opened the scoring of the game just six minutes into the game, meanwhile, Che Adams equalized minutes later (9′).
The game was decided before half-time as Darwin Nunez formed a double at the 21st and 42nd minutes before the first half concluded.
Liverpool head to the international break with 22 points as they are 6th in the Premier League table.
The club 2022/2023 season will be put on hold due to World Cup taking place in winter. Qatar 2022 begins on November 20 and ends on December 18.
Speaking following the game, Klopp was asked about the Reds January transfer window plans.
He said in a press conference: “Of course, we want to improve the team all the time, we just believe in the training ground as well, that we can do it there, so we will see what happens.”
“We are always open to these things. If something is possible, we will do it. If the door opens up, we are open as well. It’s not about wanting or not. We will see.”
During the summer transfer window, the Reds welcomed Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez, Calvin Ramsay, Arthur Melo (on loan).
