Jurgen Klopp has opened up on his players’ emotions following Liverpool’s Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.
The Reds faced a shocking 5 – 2 loss to La Liga giants in the first leg of the European top tier.
Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah scored to give their side the lead in the first half, however, Los Blancos managed to make an impressive comeback, with Vinicius Jr, Eder Militao and Karim Benzema scoring the winning goals.
Klopp was asked about the emotional state of his players ahead of Liverpool’s next Premier League clash versus Crystal Palace at the weekend.
“I see the players and tell them how I feel but I don’t ask them individually,” the manager said, via Liverpool Echo.
“When things go well, it’s about the players. When it’s not, it’s about me. It’s my job to make sure they listen to me and believe me,” he added.
