Jurgen Klopp has ruled out the possibility of finishing in the Premier League top four in case Manchester United and Newcastle United continue their impressive run.
The Reds celebrated a 4 – 3 victory against Tottenham in the domestic top tier on Sunday. Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, and Diogo Jota scored to give their side the lead over the opponents.
As things stand, Liverpool are sitting in 5th place in the league table, seven points behind the fourth-placed Manchester United.
After the successful game with Spurs, Klopp was asked about the potential top-four finish, which could eventually lead to a Champions League football next season.
“Of course not. If United and Newcastle wins all the games then how can we get there?” the manager said, via BBC Sport.
