Jurgen Klopp has shared his high praise for Stefan Bajčetić, claiming the Liverpool youngster is a “top” and “intelligent” player.
The 18-year-old has recently pushed himself to the Reds’ first-team squad, playing a great role in it. His latest contribution saw the team beating Everton in the Premier League last weekend.
Liverpool’s next opponents will be fourth-placed Newcastle United. Ahead of the meeting, Klopp met the media to share the latest team news. He also spoke about Bajčetić, saying, via Liverpool Echo:
“A top player. It’s a joy to work with him. The mix of Serbia and Spain is good for his football. He’s an intelligent boy.”
Klopp added: “Interesting that his dad and Thiago’s dad played together. Thiago took him under his wing. An absolute joy.”
