In a critical fixture that could determine their fate this season, Liverpool played out a goalless draw against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge. With a top-four finish still up for grabs, Jurgen Klopp’s side will now be hoping for a positive result in their upcoming fixture against league leaders Arsenal.

In a pre-match press conference, Klopp expressed his optimism and confidence in his team’s ability to secure a win against the Gunners, despite the North London side’s impressive form of late.

Speaking about Arsenal’s style of play, Klopp lauded their fluidity and entertainment factor, but also emphasized that Liverpool’s strong home form could provide them with the edge they need to secure all three points.

❗Klopp on Arsenal: “They’re flying, incredible shape and play football that’s good to watch. But we’re there, it’s a home game and our home [form] is not as bad.

“I’m looking forward to this game because tonight I saw a step [forward].”

The Gunners know they will have to secure every maximum point if they’re to keep the distance with Manchester City and a loss to Liverpool will be highly detrimental to their title hopes.

Following the draw against Chelsea, Liverpool currently find themselves in eighth place on the Premier League table, with 43 points to their name.

Klopp will undoubtedly be looking to rally his troops ahead of the Arsenal clash, as they seek to keep their Champions League qualification hopes alive.
