Leeds United’s Junior Firpo has taken to Twitter to react to Lionel Messi’s masterclass in World Cup semi-finals against Croatia
Argentina beat Croatia with a 3-0 score to reach the FIFA World Cup 2022 final. Messi scored one goal from a penalty and provided an assist for Julian Alvarez’s second goal as he formed a double.
With the assist, Messi equalled Diego Maradona’s record of assists at the World Cups. The Argentine star also became the Man of the match for the fourth time in World Cup 2022, more than any other player.
Following the game, Firpo took to Twitter and wrote: “Simply the best of all time… GOAT 🐐.”
