El Chiringuito TV presenter Josep Pedrerol has put huge pressure on Spain to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar after their massive win over Costa Rica.

Luis Enrique’s men got off to a superb start to the Qatar World Cup following a commanding 7-0 win over Costa Rica on Wednesday.

Many had predicted Spain to fall short in the World Cup after Enrique dropped some big names off his World Cup squad but the Spanish side would go on to shut their critics, for now maybe, following their winning start in the competition.

The likes of Sergio Ramos, David de Gea and Gerard Romero didn’t make the Spain squad but their performance against Costa Rica didn’t look like they lacked quality in any position.

Although Costa Rica wasn’t viewed as a proper test, many fans still believe their performance with youngsters Gavi and Pedri in the team would take them far in the competition.

And journalist Josep Pedrerol has added even more pressure on Luis Enrique’s side, insisting that it would be a failed journey if Spain missed out on winning the competition.

“I’ve read everything,”

Spain will face Germany next and that’s a match that would prove if Spain’s massive win over Costa Rica was only a fluke or they mean business in Qatar.

Germany lost their opener 2-1 to Japan, having led at half-time, and as a result, they will put up a fight against the Spaniards in order to improve their chances of qualifying for the next round.
