Expert and former Formula 1 driver Jolyon Palmer spoke about Williams drivers breaking the rules at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Ferrari drivers lost time after pit stops, with Charles Leclerc behind Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz behind Nicolas Latifi. Mistakes with strategy and a delay behind the lap dropped Leclerc from 1st place to 4th, with Sainz still second.
“Sainz drove behind Latifi for a lap and could not use the Ferrari’s speed. Because of this loss of time, Carlos missed out on winning the Monaco Grand Prix. Speaking of Latifi, it’s very difficult to miss cars in Monaco. You could say he’s moved out of the way at the first opportunity.
Unlike Alex Albon, who should have been penalized for a full lap delay of Charles Leclerc on intermediate tires. Leclerc lost three seconds before the second pit stop and would have been at least ahead of Max Verstappen”, – said Palmer.
