Jesse Lingard has taken to social media to send a message following his first Nottingham Forest goal as he scored in the Carabao Cup.
Lingard signed for Forest during the summer transfer window has scored his first goal for the club when they celebrated a 2-0 victory over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday night.
Nottingham will discover their next round opponent in the EFL Cup on Thursday following the conclusion of Aston Villa vs Manchester United.
After the game, Lingard took to Twitter and wrote: “Bout time top team performance tonight, thank you to the fans for your support.”
