Former Manchester United Goalkeeper has shared his opinion on the incident that occured on Wednesday night with Ronaldo now set to missing Chelsea clash.
Erik ten Hag thought it best to leave out Ronaldo and probably use him in the game against Chelsea but the Portuguese have reacted wrongly.
Although Ronaldo’s anger isn’t on the fact that he was left on the bench but actually cause he was called up twice to come warm up thinking he was going in but ten Hag decided to put on Elanga.
In reaction to this, the Portuguese was seen headed down the walkway around 89 minutes of game time as he afterwards left the Stadium for his home.
An attitude that has already got him suspended ahead of the Sunday game against Chelsea and former Manchester United Goalie, Peter Schmeichel believes Ronaldo could have handled the situation better.
Speaking after the game, Schmeichel said; Peter Schmeichel on Cristiano Ronaldo: “It’s the first time I can say that I am disappointed with him. Normally I back him, I understand his situation — we don’t need distractions like that, and that’s a disappointment, I would say.”
