According to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, he has expressed worry about defender Takehiro Tomiyasu’s condition.
In a recent interview with Arsenal’s official website, the club’s manager Mikel Arteta expressed concern over defender Takehiro Tomiyasu’s recent injury. The Japanese full-back was forced to exit the game early after awkwardly overstretched and showed signs of significant pain.
Arteta gave an injury update on a number of players, including Tomiyasu, revealing that the team doctor is currently assessing the extent of the defender’s injury. However, Arteta’s remarks suggest that the situation looks rather bleak for Tomiyasu.
“We’ve had one assessment, they need to have another assessment tomorrow, but it’s not looking good, that’s for sure,” Arteta stated in regards to Tomiyasu’s injury.
