The result at Italy makes it two defeats in four days for Conte’s side, compounding a bad week worse, Spurs lost 4-1 to Leicester City at the weekend and losing Rodrigo Bentancur to an ACL injury at the same time.

“Italy is in my heart. Italy will always stay there. I will never exclude the possibility that I will be back here one day.” said Conte when speaking in his post match interview.

With the results against Conte, his position as the Manager of Tottenham Hotspur is on the hook, as he is likely the next manager to face termination of contract.

Conte has Italy as his first love, having had his early career in Italy, and says he will be happy to work with the Italian national side again should an opportunity come his way.
