Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan has ruled out his possible move to Liverpool.
The German professional’s current deal at Etihad expires in the summer of 2023, while he is yet to have firm talks over his potential contract extension.
Gundogan used to work with the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp during his playing spell at Borussia Dortmund. So, the player was asked to give his thoughts on a potential reunion with the German boss at City’s rival team.
“I think I can rule out that,” Gundogan said, via City Xtra.
“Everyone knows how much I like and appreciate Kloppo but I’ve been at Man City for a few years now and as Man City captain to rival Liverpool? No, I can’t imagine that,” the midfielder added.
