Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan has named one factor that could have an impact on his new contract at the club.
The German professional’s current deal at Etihad expires in the summer of 2023 and he is yet to sign a new contract with the Citizens.
Gundogan has now opened up on his future at City, claiming he is calm and is waiting to see the Pep Guardiola situation solved.
The City boss’ current deal will expire in 2023, while his possible contract extension will positively impact Gundogan’s future decision.
“I’m pretty relaxed. The summer of 2023 still feels so far away. I’m not really worried. It’s not even clear what’s going to happen to our coach. His contract only runs until 2023 and nobody knows how he plans,” the midfielder said.
