Ilkay Gundogan has hit back at Jamie Carragher’s latest comments regarding Erling Haaland’s club choice.
Norway international joined the Citizens last summer, establishing himself as one of the key players in the squad. He has shown impressive results and is currently leading the list of Premier League goalscorers for this term.
Despite Haaland’s successful playing spell, Carragher still believes the attacker was wrong to choose City as his next destination.
“If you score 25 goals in 20 games, you fit into a team!” Gundogan said when reacting to the former Liverpool star’s suggestion.
“Our game has become a bit different because of Erling’s qualities. Both he and the team have to adjust to that,” the City star added.
