Jamie Carragher has shared his high praise for Lisandro Martinez, claiming the Manchester United star has been “brilliant” so far.
Since moving to Old Trafford, the Argentine professional has established himself as a key player in Erik ten Hag’s side. His contribution to the team helped the Red Devils enter the race for the Premier League top-four spot.
Despite the early doubts over Martinez’s successful playing spell at United, Carragher now admits he was wrong.
“I think he’s been brilliant. To be that small and play centre-back you’ve got to be a special player. I didn’t think someone that size could cope in the Premier League and he has coped,” the former Liverpool man said.
