Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah is back in training after missing one month due to injury.
In a timely boost for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, striker Eddie Nketiah has returned to training ahead of the club’s crucial Premier League title run-in.
Nketiah had been sidelined for more than a month due to an ankle injury, but was spotted back in action at London Colney on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old forward had aggravated the injury during a cameo appearance against Everton in early March, but is now expected to be available for selection for this Sunday’s London derby against relegation-threatened West Ham.
Nketiah’s return will be a welcome sight for Arteta, who is preparing his squad for a decisive run of eight matches to end the season. The striker has made a significant contribution to the team’s campaign this year, scoring a total of nine goals in all competitions.
Additionally, he has proved himself to be a more than capable deputy for Gabriel Jesus during the Brazilian international’s lengthy layoff with a knee injury.
