Harry Kane has shared an emotional message with Tottenham supporters the club’s final game of a challenging season.
The Spurs celebrated a 4-1 victory against Leeds in the league finale to finish the season in 8th place in England’s first division. Kane scored his 27th and 28th Premier League goals, contributing to the Whites’ relegation.
In a term marred by disappointment and the club’s transition through three different managers, Kane has been a standout performer for Tottenham. After Sunday’s clash, the England international took to social media to share his feelings with the fans.
He wrote: “The season didn’t go how we wanted, but I can only thank Tottenham fans for their relentless support all year…Becoming club’s all time leading goal scorer fills me with incredible pride.”
There is uncertainty surrounding his future as Kane has only one year remaining on his contract.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been associated with potential moves for the 29-year-old during the upcoming summer transfer window.
