Gaurdiola took to Interview to report that City had an earlier intention to offload Zinchenko, but the Ukrainian objected and choose to fight for a spot in the team.
Zinchenko joined Manchester City in 2016, and was away on loan to PSV for a year, returning from the loan in 2017, he made a total of 128 appearances for City, winning 10 trophies.
