Chelsea boss, Graham Potter has spoken on the future plan for Edouard Mendy as he is yet willing to drop Kepa Arizzablaga.

Mendy has been left out since the arrival of the new manager, with his injury giving rise to Kepa back into the Chelsea eleven.

The former Manager, Thomas Tuchel abandoned Kepa but the tables have taken turn and Mendy is now to wait for his time.

Speaking on the future of the player, “He’s [Mendy] been great, attitude fantastic, and supporting the team. He was obviously injured when I arrived and Kepa has played, done well and contributed to positive results.

“We’re in the situation now where we have two really good goalkeepers in the competition and that is what we need to push each other along.”

Chelsea prepare to take on Aston Villa on Sunday and Kepa hopes to make the starting line up once again.

Blues will also be without N’Golo Kante who is out on injury and yet to recover.
