Chelsea Football Club are reportedly considering the option of terminating Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract at Stamford Bridge, as Blues’ manager Graham Potter is said to be keen on letting go of the striker in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Chelsea had secured the services of Aubameyang from Barcelona for a fee of £10m during the summer transfer window under former manager Thomas Tuchel. However, the 33-year-old forward has since struggled to make an impact and has slipped down the pecking order following the arrival of Potter at Stamford Bridge.

In February, the former Brighton and Hove Albion boss opted to omit the Gabonese international from Chelsea’s Champions League squad, in order to create space for new signings that arrived in January. And now, as per a report by ,Football Insider the English coach is keen to offload the veteran striker in the upcoming summer transfer window, with the West London club even contemplating the option of terminating his contract a year early.
