The New Boss has assured who will be taking his penalties following Jorginho’s uncertain future at the club.
Chelsea saw their opening goal against AC Milan on Tuesday night come through a fine penalty from Jorginho after Mason Mount was taken down in the 18-yard box by former Blue, Fikayo Tomori.
Although little harder than it should be, the Referee handing Fikayo Tomori a red card ruined the night for the home side with Chelsea going on to win 2-0 following second goal from Aubameyang.
With their focus back in the Premier League, Graham Potter who was quizzed about penalties shared who he prefers taking the penalty.
According to the former Brighton boss, Jorginho maintains his role as the penalty taker despite having his contract renewal offer yet to be resolved.
The Italian could possibly leave Chelsea next year but Graham Potter believes keeping him as the penalty taker is more rewarding than replacing him.
“If there’s one person you want to take it, it’s Jorgi,” Potter said.
“He’s got such quality and he’s a really important player for us, delighted for him.”
