Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang didn’t come on against Brentford until the last 10 minutes of the goalless draw.
Chelsea faced the Bees in an away Premier League game on Wednesday and played a goalless draw.
Aubameyang started the game on the bench and came on at the 81st minute as he replaced Kai Havertz.
Following the game, Graham Potter explained his decision of bringing Aubayemang late in the game.
“Yeah, of course, but I know the reasons why. Again, it’s the load of him, he’s played a lot, and it gives the chance for Kai to score and play, and we were close with that. Yeah, I understand the question,” said Potter during his press conference following the draw.
Aubameyang joined the Blues during the summer transfer window. He has so far made 8 appearances in which he has scored 3 goals.
