Goal journalist Neil Jones has opened up on Liverpool plans for Roberto Firmino’s future.
Since joining the Reds back in 2015, Firmino has established himself as one of the key players at Anfield.
During his seven-year spell, the Brazilian has made a frightening attacking trio with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, helping the team to win the Champions League and the Premier League.
Firmino’s current deal at Liverpool expires in the summer of 2023. According to Jones, the club are eager to extend his stay signing a two-year deal with an option for a further season.
The player himself loves life at Anfield and would love to extend his contract.
