Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to send a message to Raheem Sterling ahead of World Cup following his goal in Dinamo Zagreb win.
The Blues hosted Zagreb in the Champions League last group stage game and celebrated a 2-1 victory. Graham Potter’s side have already qualified for the next round after topping Group E.
Zagreb opened the scoring at the 7th minute, while Sterling and Denis Zakaria scored for Potter’s side and earned three points.
Sterling hasn’t been on his usual form this season as he has so far scored 5 goals in 17 appearances.
Following the game, Lineker took to Twitter to send a message.
He wrote: “Lovely finish by @sterling7. A return to top form before the World Cup would be very welcome.”
