Gary Lineker has used one word to react Harry Kane’s latest record for England national team in the World Cup quarter-finals.
The Three Lions faced a 2 – 1 defeat to France’s national team in the World Cup quarter-finals. Aurélien Tchouaméni and Olivier Giroud scored to secure the opponents’ place in the semi-finals.
England were handed two penalties during the game, Kane scored the first but missed the second as his team lost to the Blues.
The positive part of the meeting was Kane’s new achievement. The Tottenham star reached Wayne Rooney’s record as England’s all-time top scorer playing 40 fewer games than his fellow countryman.
“Get in! @HKane equals Wayne Rooney’s record. You beauty” Lineker wrote on Twitter as he was happy by Kane’s new record.
