Kalvin Phillips is currently out with a shoulder injury.
England manager Gareth Southgate has provided an update on Phillips.
The City newcomer has been suffering from a shoulder injury and he is set to undergo surgery. And due to the injury, the midfielder has been left out of England’s squad for the September games in Nations League.
“We’re always optimistic… He had a dislocated shoulder before the Euros – that was a remarkable recovery. We’re just going to have to wait. He’s disappointed to miss this camp and fully focused on getting back for Manchester City,” Southgate said via Daily Mail.
Man City return to Premier League action on Sunday with a game against Manchester United.
