Gabriel Martinelli has revealed what Granit Xhaka asked the team after their first goal in the North London derby on Saturday, October 1.
The Gunners hosted Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium, where the Premier League leaders celebrated a 3-1 victory over Spurs.
After Thomas Partey opened the score on 2oth minute, Xhaka called the team into a huddle and asked everyone to ‘stay calm’.
The Brazilian has hailed the midfielder, claiming he cares of the players a lot and ‘definitely ‘ is one of the team leaders.
“Xhaka is an amazing lad, you see how much he dedicates himself to the team, how much he cares about the match and the players as well, he is definitely one of our leaders.
“Right after our first goal against Tottenham, he calls everybody into a huddle, asking us to stay calm and saying we will score more goals. That’s when you see how important he is to all players.” told the 21-year-old to The Times.
The Switzerland international score the third and final goal in the North Derby, strengthening his side’s lead.
