Xhaka has been a standout performer for Arsenal this season, playing a crucial role in the team. The Swiss professional has become a key player under Mikel Arteta, significantly improving over the past 18 months, and this season has been his best since making a move to the Emirates Stadium nearly seven years ago.

Agbonlahor admitted that he found it hard to believe the speculation at first. It appears that a move to Bayer Leverkusen will materialize after the season ends. The pundit now understands why this decision is deemed beneficial for all parties involved.

“When I heard the news about Xhaka, I was a bit shocked, to be honest. I thought (he’s had) an outstanding season. But then I see he’s got a year left, he’s 30 – 31 in September – you can see why maybe they are looking to get some money for him,” he said, via TBR Football.
