Frank Lampard takes over Chelsea following Graham Potter sacking
Frank Lampard has sent a message to Chelsea fans after being appointed the Blues caretaker until the end of the season as he takes over Graham Potter.
The Blues sacked Potter after six months in charge following their poor results. Chelsea are currently 11th in the league table.
Lampard returns to managerial post at the Blues after having managed the club from 2019 to 2021.
Speaking in his first press conference after his appointment, Lampard said: “I’m very thankful for the ones that are delighted. Those who aren’t they can know that I will work my utmost to give them a team that they’re proud of.
“I don’t need to speak too much about my relationship with Chelsea fans. They’ve been a huge support to me and I’m forever thankful for that.”
