Chelsea interim boss Frank Lampard has shared his high praise for former Chelsea man Dominic Solanke ahead of the club’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
Solanke has been the Blues’ academy product and left Stamford Bridge to join Bournemouth back in 2019 due to limited playing time. He had only managed to score one goal in 27 appearances before being sold to the Cherries for a £19m transfer deal.
The 25-year-old has improved significantly since then and has contributed 13 goals in the Premier League this season.
As Solanke will be facing his former team, Chelsea, in his next match, Lampard spoke highly of the striker during an interview with Football London, describing him as a highly talented player.
“I remember training with him. Clearly a high talent. I speak with the coaches at the academy a lot and they have a high regard of him,” he said.
