Frank Lampard has confirmed Mar Cucurella will miss “a few weeks” after picking up a thigh injury.

The Blues’ faced a 2 – 0 defeat to Brentford in the Premier League on Wednesday evening due to the own goal of Cesar Azpilicueta and the net of Bryan Mbeumo.
As a result, Chelsea are now sitting in 11th place in the league table with 39 points.
Cucurella was not part of the squad to face the Bees in the midweek, and after the game, Lampard explained his absence saying:
“[Marc] Cucurella injured himself in training, thigh injury so he’s out for a few weeks.”
