Cristiano Ronaldo and his Manchester United team-mates could be in action tonight in what is said to be their last UEFA Nations League game of the year.

Ronaldo, Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes could add more minutes in the tank when Portugal host Spain at Estádio Nacional tonight.

The Manchester United trio played huge roles in helping Portugal trounce Czech Republic 4-0 last weekend. Diogo Dalot scored a brace. Fernandes scored a goal while Ronaldo set up the last goal of the game.

They will look to help take Fernando Santos’ side into the UEFA Nations League finals when they face Spain. Any result except a defeat will do just fine for the Portuguese side as they are currently at the top spot with 12 points, 2 points clear of 2nd-placed Spain.

Anthony Elanga and Victor Lindelof could be in action tonight as well when Sweden host Slovenia at the Friends Arena. The Yellow and Blue side understand it’s a crucial game against Slovenia tonight, knowing that any result other than a win will be bad news for them.

Lindelof, who’s Sweden’s captain, knows his side needs a win in order to remain in the League B of the Nations League. But a draw or defeat to Slovenia will see them get relegated to League C.

In the reverse fixture, Sweden comfortably won the tie 2-0 away from home and shockingly, that’s the only win they’ve recorded in this year’s UEFA Nations League, hence four defeats from five games.

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay will not be in action tonight when Scotland take on Ukraine away from home due to a suspension. The United midfielder received a yellow card during Scotland’s comeback 2-1 win over Ireland last weekend.

His absence will surely come down as good news to Erik ten Hag and Manchester United fans as they would rather prefer their regular starters return back to the club the way they left two weeks ago. His absence from tonight’s game means the chances of him getting injured are now thwarted.

In addition; Manchester United defenders Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw were in action on Monday night as England were held to a frustrating 3-3 draw at Wembley.

Maguire, who gave away a penalty early in the second half and got played a role in Germany’s second goal from Kai Havertz, started the game alongside his team-mate Shaw. The latter scored England’s first goal with a volley, although not one of the best.

Unsurprisingly, the Manchester United duo played 90 minutes against the Germans. Erik ten Hag would be more pleased with Shaw’s performance.
