Fabrizio Romano has opened up on Arsenal’s plans on William Saliba amid huge interest from other clubs.
Saliba returned to Emirates Stadium after spending the last season on loan at Marseille. The French club’s trials to make the deal permanent failed as Arsenal challenged Saliba to fight for his place in Mikel Arteta’s team.
Following his impressive spell at Marseille, Saliba managed to make his way into Gunners’ first-team squad. The centre-back has now become a key player in the Premier League club.
According to Romano, Marseille have had intentions for making an official bid for Saliba. Barcelona have also been linked with the player, considering him a top target after Jules Kounde.
However, Saliba has really been untouchable for Arsenal. The defender himself is enjoying his time at the Emirates Stadium.
