Sadio Mane has reacted to Liverpool’s victory over Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Reds celebrated a 1 – 0 win over Pep Guardiola’s side in the domestic top tier yesterday. Mohamed Salah’s goal secured three points for the club.
Mane, who has been one of the main top scorers versus City, has reacted to his former team’s win when speaking to the German outlet Bild.
“I’m very happy for the boys that they beat City. I couldn’t watch because we were on the bus,” he said.
Following Sunday’s game, Liverpool are sitting in 8th place in the league table with 13 points.
The Reds are currently facing an injury crisis, while their current form raises doubts over a top-four finish this season. However, Mane believes his ex-side will return to their winning ways.
“I have a lot of faith in the boys and the coach that they’ll get back to the top!” the Senegal international added.
