Arsenal’s young sensation Folarin Balogun finds himself at the center of attention, with Inter Milan eyeing a potential bid for the promising forward.

Following an impressive loan spell at Stade Reims, Balogun’s stock has risen considerably, attracting the interest of several clubs eager to secure his signature. However, the Gunners are yet to confirm his role in Mikel Arteta’s plans for the upcoming season, leaving the door open for potential suitors to make their move.

Among these suitors, Inter Milan stands out as a significant contender for Balogun’s services. According to reliable sources, the Italian giants are gearing up to present a bid to Arsenal. Nevertheless, the financial aspect of the deal may prove to be a sticking point for the London club at this juncture.

In recent remarks regarding the young striker’s future, Arteta hinted at assessing Balogun’s abilities during the pre-season friendly matches before making any final decisions. It is undeniable that the forward had a stellar campaign in France last season, which has undoubtedly contributed to the high level of interest from prominent clubs across Europe, with Inter Milan leading the pack.

However, potential hurdles lie ahead as the financial terms proposed by Inter might not be in line with Arsenal’s expectations. The initial offer on the table is believed to be a loan deal with an obligation to buy, which would see the Serie A club pay approximately €5 million (£4.3 million) initially, followed by an additional €35 million (£30 million) for a permanent transfer. While the figure might seem modest given Balogun’s outstanding performances in France, it remains to be seen if it meets Arsenal’s valuation.

The Gunners are unlikely to hastily accept the first bid that comes their way, especially with other clubs expressing interest in the young talent. If they are indeed considering parting ways with Balogun this summer, they might be hopeful that a bidding war ensues, potentially driving up his transfer fee.
