Erik ten Hag doesn’t expect Jadon Sancho to be in his squad to face Everton tonight in the third round of the FA Cup.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that he’s not in a haste to bring Jadon Sancho back into the team as he believes he’s still somewhat behind.
Sancho has not featured in any of Man United’s games after the World Cup because he’s still not the level Ten Hag wants him to be at.
The England international last made Manchester United’s team on October 30 during a tight 1-0 win over West Ham United at Old Trafford.
In total, the former Dortmund winger has missed United’s last eight matches in all competitions and he’s poised on missing tonight’s game against Everton.
When asked about Sancho’s possible return to the squad, he said: “I’ve also to show patience. We have some hurdles to take, but I think he’s in a good direction.
“In this moment he’s not fit enough. I hope Jadon can return quickly but I can’t say a duration of how long it will be”.
Manchester United have a chance to extend their seven-match winning run at home to eight matches when they host struggling Everton at Old Trafford tonight in the FA Cup third round.
