Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has issued an update on Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future after his first start this season.
Erik ten Hag has claimed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka has a future at Manchester United despite reports leading the fullback out of Old Trafford.
The former Crystal Palace defender started at the right-back against Burnley in the absence of Diogo Dalot due to an injury he suffered in the World Cup and put out a top performance.
Wan-Bissaka provided the assist to Christian Eriksen’s opener and helped United keep a clean sheet in the process.
Ten Hag claims the fullback has a future at the club and believes he’s progressing really well.
Speaking after the Burnley win, the Dutchman said: “Aaron Wan-Bissaka has a future. He has had some good years at Manchester United but, from the start of this season, he has had a lot of illnesses and injuries.
“From the restart on, he is fit, so he could train with the team and you see him progressing.”
Crystal Palace and West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing the 25-year-old defender in January.
