Erik ten Hag confirms Anthony Martial’s injury against Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Anthony Martial left the pitch with a knock during the game against Bournemouth.
Man United beat the Cherries 3-0 at Old Trafford but Martial wasn’t fit enough to see out the remainder of the second half due to a knock he received.
After Ten Hag replaced the Frenchman midway through the second half, the 26-year-old would rather head into the tunnel for treatment.
After the final whistle, the Dutchman confirmed the France international’s injury to the press: “Yes [it was a knock], but I think it will be fine.”
Ten Hag suggests Martial will be fine but didn’t confirm if he would be available for Manchester United’s next game against Everton on Friday in the FA Cup.
Should he fail to be available for the game, Marcus Rashford could start at no.9 for the mean time.
