Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has really enjoyed working with Anthony Martial as United’s centre-forward.
Erik ten Hag is convinced that Anthony Martial can improve even better but he has enjoyed the impact he’s had on United’s games so far.
Martial may have gone blank against Wolves last weekend but his overall performances have been encouraging and Ten Hag has no issues with any.
The France international scored as Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 at Old Trafford last week in the Premier League to take his total tally to three goals and two assists in seven league matches.
Martial is likely to start again against Bournemouth on Tuesday night and Ten Hag has backed the 26-year-old to put out a better performance.
“I’m really happy with his [Martial] performances across many games,” said Ten Hag. “He has a really good impact on our game. It’s really enjoyable to work with him. If you see the minutes he’s played and the impact he’s had so far, I think that’s really huge.
“You can see what a real impact he [Martial] can have and in the next game, I expect a better performance from him. I think he will do it, I’m really convinced of that.”
