Manchester United have completed the signing of Jack Butland from Crystal Palace on a six-month loan deal.
Manchester United have announced the signing of Jack Butland from Crystal Palace and the goalkeeper becomes Erik ten Hag’s first winter signing.
Man United let Dubravka return to Newcastle United after his short spell ended in December but have signed his replacement in no time.
Ten Hag wants Butland to join the Red Devils as an understudy but also in a bid to put pressure on David de Gea to continue his top form.
The Crystal Palace goalkeeper completed his medical on Thursday and was unveiled on Friday as Manchester United’s latest signing.
Butland said upon joining Man United: “This is an amazing club and one that I am now proud to represent. I’m really looking forward to working with unbelievable goalkeeping group, supporting each other every day”.
Manchester United are still keen on signing some players this month. They are obviously searching for a centre-forward but could cool their interest in a right-back if Aaron Wan-Bissaka continues with his top form.
