The English international missed out of Gareth Southgate traveling squad which represented England at Qatar due to lack of fitness, and was sent to Netherland to work on his fitness.
He returned to action for the Red Devils, coming on as a substitute for their clash against Nottingham Forest in the semi final of the Carabao cup.
Days later, he came on as a substitute again to give United the equalizer in their 2-2 against Leads United in the first encounter of the two rivals in the premier league.
“He [Sancho] is growing.” Ten Hag said. “He is definitely in a better place than two or three months ago, when he was away from the team – I think it was the right decision” said a happy Ten Hag when asked about the performance of Sancho on his return.
Sancho had an encouraging performance against Leads, he got results too by getting a goal to equal the lead taken on earlier in the game by Leads United.
