Manchester United manager Erik Ten Haag, has praised Arsenal’s team and their coach Mikel Arteta, stating that they “deserve to be in the position they’re in now” as the two teams prepare to face off on Sunday.

Despite the compliment, Arsenal must be cautious to not become complacent as they aim to regain their eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table. The last time the two clubs met, Ten Hag emerged victorious, handing Arsenal their only defeat of the season so far.

Manchester United will be without midfielder Casemiro due to suspension, but they were able to defeat Arsenal without him in their previous match.

As the two top teams in the Premier League gear up for their highly-anticipated match on Sunday, Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has offered high praise for Arsenal and their coach, Mikel Arteta.

“The Gunners have been in outstanding form this season and they truly deserve to be at the top of the table,” said ten Hag in a recent press conference. “Mikel Arteta has done a fantastic job in leading this team and we will have our work cut out for us on Sunday.”

“They are on a great run and it’s up to us to beat that run and we will do everything to do that.” he added.

“We know what to do. We have to be really good and we need a really good performance. If we do, then we have a good chance of getting a good result.”

While ten Hag’s words may seem like a compliment, Arsenal will no doubt use it as motivation to prove their worth on the pitch.

The last time the two clubs met, Arsenal suffered their only defeat of the season at the hands of ten Hag’s United. The Gunners will be looking to regain their eight-point lead at the top of the table and solidify their position as the league’s top team.

United, however, will have to contend with a key absence in the midfield. Brazilian midfielder, Casemiro, will miss the match due to suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Crystal Palace. While Casemiro’s absence is certainly a blow for United, it’s worth noting that they were able to beat Arsenal without him in their previous meeting.

This match is shaping up to be a must-watch for any football fan, as the two top teams in the league face off in what promises to be an intense and closely-fought battle for supremacy.
