Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Leicester City’s highly-rated midfielder James Maddison as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming season.

According to a report by The Telegraph  the Red Devils are keen on signing the talented Englishman, who is expected to leave the Foxes in the summer transfer window.

Despite Leicester City’s uncertain Premier League status for next season, Maddison has been in exceptional form this campaign, contributing 17 goals and assists in 26 league appearances so far. His performances have caught the eye of several top clubs across Europe, including Manchester United, who are believed to be considering a bid for the player.

The Telegraph’s report suggests that Maddison could be available for a transfer fee between the range of £45 million and £60 million. While this figure may seem steep, the midfielder’s attacking prowess and versatility make him a valuable asset for any team.

Should the Red Devils secure Maddison’s services, he would add much-needed depth and competition to their midfield.
