The free agent market opened a month ago, I should have already attracted the attention of some NBA clubs. But I still haven’t received any offers this summer. All because of the statements I’ve made about China in recent months. The Chinese market is an important part of the NBA business. They will let you talk openly about anything, but only as long as it doesn’t affect them financially. As soon as something like that happens, you will be said goodbye. This is very sad and unacceptable.

I understood that I would have to pay for my words. But I don’t regret what I did. There are more important things than me, more important than the NBA and basketball. While I am playing in the US, people all over the world are being killed and imprisoned. If I had to sacrifice something, I’m ready for it.

I’m 30. I can play for another five or six years, I’m not going to end my career. Obviously, I can’t go back to Turkey, it’s a single ticket.

Euroleague? It’s important to remember that I can’t enter Turkey and the title sponsor of the tournament is a Turkish company,” Freedom said.
