The Ballon d’Or ceremony took place on Monday, October 30, 2023 in Paris. Lionel Messi took home his 8th Ballon d’Or, meanwhile, Jude Bellingham won the Kopa Trophy.
Erling Haaland was named the best striker of the year as he won the Gerd Muller award.
And the Yachine trophy went to Emi Martinez for his heroics in the World Cup which saw Argentina become a champion back in December 2022.
Following the win, Martinez took to Instagram and wrote: “An unforgettable day for me, my family and for the people of Argentina. Congratulations @leomessi for putting Argentina back on top #yashin #ballondor.”
